Junior Scholar Session – April 7, 2019 150 150 Explore Solutions

Sunday’s session covered the following:
Having students reflect on who they are on and off the high school campus.
Ask yourself:
Reflect on the top 3-5 attributes/strengths and/or talents you possess and want to share with college Admissions? What do you want to accomplish in college? Do you know and understand your learning style?

Beginning to answer these questions will help drive the type of college that would be a good match and solidify what you would like to convey in your application.

We also covered some basic “how to” tips for creating a strong activities list for the application and framed the main college essay and supplemental short answers/essays.

Please see the attached PPT. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to email. Also attached are the resources that were mentioned in the session for students to use as they begin to craft descriptions for the application activities section.

We highly recommend that you download these resources and read them prior to crafting your activities descriptions.
